JOB PURPOSE

Lodox is looking for a SERVICE TECHNICIAN to perform servicing, maintenance, installation, and commissioning activities on the LODOX systems devices.

The Incumbent will further be responsible for providing a customer support system by attending to all scheduled and non-scheduled service activities, complaints and queries concerning the use or malfunction of any of the LODOX systems devices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Learning:

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent required.
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering Diploma/Degree or a related/ applicable technical qualification.

Skills and Experience: 

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in relevant field
  • Knowledge in the Maintenance and Service support environment
  • Exposure to Medical Imaging and Radiography field will be beneficial
  • Strong understanding of product support in a medical environment is beneficial.
  • Technical skills (electronic, mechanical and instrumentation)
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Windows)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Service and Standby Activities

  • Schedule, plan and perform preventative maintenance servicing requirements on Lodox devices in field both locally and internationally
  • Schedule, plan and perform corrective maintenance servicing requirements on Lodox devices in field both locally and internationally
  • Providing online and in field technical support to service support line after hours as and when required.
  • Implement upgrades/enhancements to reduce downtime and increase performance of all installed units.
  • Manage all the relevant external FRACAS (Fault Reporting and Corrective Action System) reports and ensure relevant support, feedback and corrective action.

Customer Relations

  • Provide a primary channel of communication to customers and fellow service engineers to ensure that all reports and queries are logged into the FRACAS database and appropriately managed and actioned.

Installation

  • Schedule, plan and perform installation of Lodox devices both locally and internationally
  • Plan and co-ordinate infrastructure requirements for the installation of the Lodox devices.

QA

  • Schedule, plan and perform quality assurance inspections on Lodox devices once certified by SANAS as a QA inspector.
